Sound

Sound is a type of event you can add to an Immersive training experience in Strivr Creator. Sound allows you to add recorded audio to the Experience.

When should I use Sound?

Sound is good for guiding your learner through the experience. Strivr often uses sound in addition to the text on Overlays to convey the same information. This allows both auditory and visual learners access to the information. Sound works well for looping and non looping videos.

How do I create sound?

Creator does not support recording audio files. To learn more about recording audio, see Using Third Party Software with Strivr Creator.

How to add a Sound event

  1. In the Tree view, select a video to which you would like to add Sound.

  2. In the Event bar at the top of the screen, click the Sound event icon.

  3. Select an audio file to import. It will appear in the Tree view.

  4. Double click the Sound event in the Tree view to rename it.

How to edit the properties of a Sound event

Select a Sound event in the Tree view and its details will appear in the Properties panel on the right.

Start Time/Buffer Time

If your Sound is in a non-looping video, adjust the start time to match the time in the video you would like it to occur. If your Sound is in a looping video, the start time is the buffer time when this event will occur after the previous event.

Volume

Determine how loud your audio will sound to the user. You should test this with the headset on.

How to delete a Sound event

  1. Select a Sound event in the Tree view(it will be highlighted.)

  2. Right-click it and select Delete.
